Lamborghini Urus Revealed: Specs, Pics and Price
We’ve been waiting a few years for this one. Lamborghini’s second SUV has finally come to fruition. The Urus was unveiled today with a big celebration. The car speaks for itself, filling a gap in the lineup that has existed since the demise of the LM002. The campaign has been labeled “#sincewemadeitpossible” and it signifies a big investment by parent-company Audi to the future of the Lamborghini brand.
Lamborghini Looks Back On LM002 And Anticipates The Urus
A new assembly line was needed, not only to respond to the unprecedented demand for the Huracan but also to ensure the quality of this new Super SUV. Lamborghini Factory 4.0 is the name of their new headquarters, and it looks as clean as an Operating Room. The Urus represents the best in styling and engineering from across Europe.
Powering the Urus is a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine capable of 650 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough ‘oomph’ for a 0-62 mph run to be completed in 3.6 seconds and 0-124 mph in 12.8 seconds. Doling out the power is an eight-speed automatic transmission that powers the four-wheel drive system. Paired with the transmission are a few extras that make the Urus more compatible with off-road terrains.
