on AutoNetwork Reports we have some of the most knowledgeable automotivejournalists out there and if you don’t believe me just ask any one of them askany one of them and they’ll tell you June is most of the time June is themonth that a lot of people get married in but June is also one of the mostfocused months for graduation right that the Asian so I want to be high to all tograduate and I want to really really say hi to and happy graduation to mygranddaughter Brailey everybody in the family that attended her graduation thispast Monday in Northern Virginia wore the team Braley t-shirt 2017 high schoolgraduate I want to say congratulations to all the graduates whether youelementary school going into junior high junior high going in high school highschool going into college dropout according to MBA PhD whatever I justwant to give her a shout out what you want to talk about today whateverrecalled folks we have some recalls this time looked like Chrysler crisis had anastronomical number of recalls and right now they’re recalling two hundred andninety seven thousand older minivans from 2011 to 2017 miles of the DodgeCaravan they have a wiring issue where it may short short causing the driverside airbag to deploy without warning that sounds like sakata inflatedsituation but this thing it’s not Secada it’s a wiring issue no issue on theirside now what is this is something that the chronic can use to say hey it’s notour inflation you guys I don’t think that’s gonna getthem off the hook hey I say if I was the card I’d use itI’d use them if nothing else is a stalling tactic to say hey it’s not meit’s you it’s not up it’s you but anyway that’sstaccato what do you guys driving this week let’s make this short and sweetright what are you in oh I just got into a what a chevrolet cruze RS basically Ithink it’s new that the new hatchback they put out you know in terms of cruiseit looks great I don’t think it’s not as fast as it looks but it seems to bepretty quick has a lot of hydrogen say creature comforts you know in terms ofthe mass system certainly OnStar for once they have a full power driver’sseat you know the back actually moves under power also because GM’s dilatoryAsst it needs to my my of doing a power seat and a manual back you know becausethey do there a lot on Buicks and Lisa you know the small of you anyway youknow I’ve only had the car a day or two you know it feels good sight lines greatGM has quietly started how should I say attaching sideview mirrors to the bodyverses are the the a tiller and believe it or not that takes that takes away oror dismisses a lot of blind spot you know particularly when you you know Ihave to look down and turn left don’t so you have to say the jury isstill out but my initial impressions are really really good I had to get ahaircut this morning as you can seeat my barber who is used definitely a a cashier of autos he liked it in terms ofwaiting list anytime you give something a thumbs up I take it I take note ofthat anyway that’s what I’m driving and that was Frank Washington from aboutthat car TV let’s have three things just three things video mr. rough heat I’mjust curious right what kind of a discount do you get for making abarbershop well you know yeah I’ll tell you like prices did go up but not on meI mean I don’t have it I personally I certainly don’t have any room to talkbut then on the other hand I cut my own though yeah it’s like it well you know iwhen i was when i was wearing my hair longer the day that it took me longer torearrange it than it did to cut it was the day I started cut it myself and cutit short so yeah I’m currently on vacation whichis why my my background is is different than it has been I haven’t been home inclosing in on two weeks so I haven’t driven anything in terms of a test caras several of us did I did get to drive the new Camry redesign Camry last weekbut we’re not allowed to talk about that and I also I also drove the a5 and s5sport back from Audi last week but to be honest with you I don’t know what theembargo was on that so I’m not going to take a chance and talk about that sothis is all you guys this this portion is all you guys well moving right alongauto academics that knit our PhD Chris Lawrence Chris what are you in this weekthis week I have a 2017 hyundai ioniq Rick limited so uh this is Hyundai’s allnew platform spit out for I guess a couple months nowbut the platform it’s a hybrid a plug-in hybrid as well as an electric vehiclethat have been launched on this one platform and so it’s a hatchback bodystyle and I guess the the most notable thing for me driving this vehicle isthat it it actually has a substantial range to it this is one of the firstvehicles that I’ve experienced outside of Tesla that have a extensive range forlack of better words so whereas Hyundai they have it listedas 124 miles you can get on a charge I the Carmen’s been showing 130 I think Ieven saw a hundred thirty to one day so uh so that’s a significant amount ofrange where you can pretty much drive or at least commute wherever you would liketo go during a day and not really have to worry too much about charging it upnow obviously if you don’t have any type of a level to fast charger at home ifyou’re plugging it into the standard wall outlet then you will be spendingquite a few hours to put all that juice back into the battery but it’s nice toknow that if you if your driving habits happen to be say less than 50 miles aday or so you honestly don’t even need to charge it every day like some of theother vehicles that are on the market today the price is thirty six thousandeight hundred thirty five dollars and that’s before any type of rebates oranything like that so you know at all it’s uh it’s very has to be a prettydecent electric vehicle therefore for those who like to drive you know I I hadthat a couple of weeks ago and got to talk about it and I’ll just reiteratethat is a hybrid that might actually drag me over into being interested in inhybrids it really it looks good inside an app there’s nothing quirky andgimmicky about it it’s comfortable it handles well it’s got decentacceleration I liked it now did you have the hybrid or did you have the electriccar I had two hybrid okay yeah I’m in the full electric version and yeahand I mean again like you said though all that stuff you know it it has a nicestyle to it it’s practical you know you can uh with that hatchback style you canfold the seats down and put large items back there and you know there’s enoughspace to carry four adults in in decent comfort five and a pinch and againthough that range is just the magic thing where you don’t really have toworry so much you know you don’t take one trip somewhere and all of a suddenit’s like yes I’ve only got 60 miles left before I wear this thing dies on meokay here you take a trip and you come home you’re like I still have 90 milesleft before this thing dies or me which is where most of those electric vehiclestypically start so yeah overall I’ve been I’ve been rather impressed with therange of it I was hired for now said to be an ionic ionic yes I on it yeah no Iwas just going to comment real quick that it must be kind of how should yousay market that car because I’m scheduled to get it what I guess in midAugust you know the full electric because they’re they’re definitely tryto push it out there now you know again it um it just recently hit the market soum so it’s a car that they definitely want to get the word out on it yeahwe’ll see I works you know because I do not have a speed charger be one of thosethings though I don’t have to run a big extension cord down to the basementplugin in fact looking dryhowever at my advanced age when I’m in I’m in it I’m generally in here but youknow NAT o’clock 9:30 at the latest and I do have a you know there’s anelectrical outlet on the out on the outside of the house so you knowhopefully I can just plug it in there and dealing when I wake up in themorning it should be fully charged we’ll see yeah none of my plans even work butLucy if that one does okay I’m supposed are you seeing this guy you know whatyes I’m seeing something I don’t know what the street yeah you see it now it’snot that strong now you see it no you know now yeahI’m not you see it now you don’t but okay this way 1700 tooth on the nightversion all-wheel drive 1. 6 litre turbocharged gasoline direct injectedfour-cylinder get 275 horsepower at 195 pound-feet of torque as a 7-speedautomatic transmission the exterior color is a black noir pearlI thought nor a mint black but I guess they meant black black pearl theinterior color is a black on black it’s 24 miles per gallon city 28 highway 25miles per gallon combined now all inclusive everything you see on thisthing is all-inclusive in one MSRP of thirty thousand two hundred and twentydollars so when you get the black version looks like you get it all onething I can say about this I love the design I love the size it’s just theright size for a small crossover anyway SUV that’s what I look at it as a smallcrossover I guess some people would say it’s a small SUV interior space lots ofinterior space lots of storage space as you can see their feeling is verycomfortable you have enough leg in the back the front design issomething that sets it apart as far as I’m concerned the riding handling isgreat it is a you know it’s a smaller crossover so you you are going to get alittle little bump every now and then but to me that gives you the more fortyfeeling which is what this coupon is suppose would look like a you know folksthis thing looks like a sports car so it’s your ride and handle like a sportscar the handling is very precise love these black wheels it has all the bellsand whistles and I think the honey can get people in it in the showroom and ifthe salesperson can give a proper test drive they can sell a lot of thesewhat’d you guys think I feel like ah that that night editionis of is becoming a very popular Edition for all the manufacturers right noweverybody’s doing a night or midnight or a dark dust or you know some other typeof of edition but um I I didn’t think that they look nice though you know itdoes add a little different flare to the vehicle you know somebody wantssomething it’s a little I don’t know I don’t let them say I’m a meter look tothe vehicle but you know just a different look to mark the regular greata more aggressive look yeah yeah I think I think in terms of the package and theprice it’s a good value and I’m with Chris it’s man it’s a terrific lookterrific looking vehicle the that black paint and a black black paint apparentlyand the blacked out wheels and it’s just a sharp sharp package and you know andyou can’t you simply can’t dispute the value I know the 19-inch alloy wheels bythe way 19 inch so besides the wheels and the black paint is there anythingelse that comes with that night edition well it doesn’t on them on themunroe me it doesn’t separate the options by the package you know likethey normally do on the right hand side they’ll have the package options this isall in one everything you see on here with the night edition is what you getso it has what the ABS electronic brake-force distribution and breakassists downhill brake control and Hill Start Assist control which is which issomething you normally find on a luxury car those things what’s the price Imissed this thirty thousand two hundred and twentydollars maybe that maybe I didn’t give it to you Frank you know that at thatprice and with that look you know is it’s not that bad in the sense of justyou know in terms of I guess affordability for the kind of for thekind of buyer that’s going to find that attractive I’ve got a feeling thatbasically more more or less young males you know would would be the target buyerfor this and it really looks good because you know we in the theautomotive press have been talking a lot about Genesis and and how they’ve got todo something to keep its momentum the momentum that allowed it to spin off theGenesis the juices main plate into a standalone brand right now you knowthey’ve I should you say it’s fun that off now it’s like let’s get some morewind and I feel so we could not we can get back underway well I think this is astep in the right direction here like I said this thing has has all the bellsand whistles the outside mirror is it heated outside mirror you have the foglights hands-free liftgate blind spot detection push-button key start yeah butyou know the hands keyless entry 8 way power seat all kinds and it has youdon’t hear about this a lot we don’t talk about it a lot but it has the yesessential stain-resistant feet and those of youthat don’t know what yet stain resistance pieces are that’s exactlywhat they are you can feel just about anything on these people I was impressyears ago when Chrysler first I mean what Chrysler did something similar tothis but Hyundai I guess took that stain resistance leads to another level youcan put drop just about anything in the world on those seats and there’s a whitewhite white right off or looking or was of just a little bit of water you canremove it what you what you dropped on the seat so the chance of staining thisDC Fleming none so if you have dogs that you want to run around have you know putit in the backseat off you have kids that are always spilling stuff in thebackseat butter front seat just wipe it away and it’s all gone and here you seeif you have you have the hero descent you can lock all the wheels so it’s uhlike there’s a lot of content for this little package so moving right alongthis is how I’m supposed to be able to do thisnothing’s working today it looks like there we go we’re back are we back yousee me I see you too Frank okay moving right along in the news I don’t knowwhether you’ve gone out I had somebody to go out recently to buy an automobileor Finance and automobiles but financing loan rates are getting longer and longerand longer I mean they average now between seventy three months and eightyfour months for a new car and you can get up to five years now on a used carwhen you come you’re going to be next white people are upside down rightyou’ll be paying for that thing whatever and not only that they’restarting to see that their the loan delinquencies are starting to creep up acouple years ago we weren’t talking about loan delinquency but I guesspeople forget that they still have to make a car paymentafter fact in 74 a month then hey hold on this thing by now I’m fine out no youdon’t think about what do you think about these longer car loans it’s a it’sa result of the instant gratification sort of thing that that you know weaccuse the the Millennials of that but me and that started that started reallywith our generation I’m not talking to you Chris but you know these old guys uphere around and because I remember my dad my dad bought a new car every otheryear every other year and the what he had was paid off it was two yearfinancing and he buy it paid off by the next one by paid off by the next one andyou had to make a down payment yeah yep and now you know it’s and itstarted I you know I can remember my first car was a three year loan and Ifinanced one for four years and I financed one for five years and so weyou know we’re just into this when it comes to cars we think that’s perfectlyfine a car is in a house anything that loses value you know to stretch thepayments after four six seven years is just not smart financially it is yes andit isn’t it’s an appliance that’s right it’s a washing machine that you drivearound basically and you know it’s just crazy stuffand not only that but it also affects sales in terms of the industry I don’tknow why the industry would encourage this because people just can’t afford tobuy a new car in three years or four years because they’re going to be upsidedown until year the end of year five or into your sex somewhere on a seven-yearnote that’s just that’s it’s not what you know I remember well at all the mostnews a few years ago on Kathy Jackson I used to talk about this all the timewhere people were taking four and five year on loans out and as you say nowit’s in what six or seven year loan and and and you know accentuating whatChristian is that basically you’re pretty much upside down on a car after acouple years you know in terms of you know it wasn’t it wasn’t worth what youown on and that’s just getting worse and worse and worse and the point of it isis it’s basically it’s perpetual debt is what it is you know that you have moreand more people who are in debt and then you know what happens I think is thatthe the public gets used to being in debt you know the goal is not the goal Ithink in in these situations is not to pay the car off the goal is to make themonthly note you know long as you make the monthly no you can drive so so soit’s a whole change of attitude if you will because you know after six or sevenyears back up a car I’ll check you may even trade in after you know after fouryears so that’s more debt piling on piled on to the new day dude that wasthat anyway I’m it’s gotten to be where is the no-win situation because don’t ifyou don’t have bet you’re gonna lie Chito for not having credit if you dohave bit most of the time especially with cars the payments we’ve gotten tobe outrageous because people want to get into a car for the least amount ofout-of-pocket money and so you’re going to be penalized there and you know youmissed a couple of car payments now they’re going to come in take your carbut one thing I can say about the industry and auto dealers they’re tryingto encourage people to make larger down payment now I don’t know how that’sgoing to fly in the marketplace but they’re trying to get people to makemore down payment you know we always be in the old day if you didn’t make a downpayment you didn’t drive the car because they wouldn’t make they wouldn’t makethe loan it was just that simple but you knewthat and you started saving money too and they would tell you how much you hadto put down at a minimum you had to put down X amount of dollars or you didn’tget the loan but now lenders have changed they’ve gotten lost the carcompanies have been you know the dealers have been able to kind of work thelender so to speak fire enticing them with more business that they’re goingalong with this situation of no money down or little than no money down andI’ve always said lease a car yeah you have talked about excess wear and tearand the extra mileage take care of your doggone car if you own it anyway youshould be taking care of it I mean it should just trash it and you know whatyou know how long ago two miles stated how long you’re going to you know howfar rather you’re going to drive the car most of the time let’s look at the lasttwo or three cars you own what would an odometer the total mileage that give youa good idea pay for the excess mileage and enjoy driving what you want and mostof the time you can get it at a reasonable payment because there’s a lotof lease programs that you can get into that don’t cost you as much money as aas a traditional loan and friends right a lot of these people they they theyjump out of whatever current car they have wanting to get into that nextvehicle and then carry over that old loan that old debt into the new vehicleright and so it’s like literally within months they’re upside down in the newvehicle because they carried over so much debt from the old one so manythousands of dollars and it just it it just doesn’t make any sense you knowinstead of no matter what the situation is you know they instead of riding itout and saying okay you know what the car still functions its feel good let meride it out get it paid off before I jump into that next vehicle you knowmaybe the last transaction was bad made a mistake what have you let’s ride itout and and get it taken care of get it get it wiped off my books before I gointo the next thing but they just want to get out and they don’t realize thatthat debt doesn’t go anywhere they just carry it into the next the next loan andnow they’re in a worse situation than technically what they left and you knowit gets to the point where they find themselves making repairs on a car thatthey’re still making a new car payment on you know so it’s like getting hit onboth ends of the car and in case they have to park the car because some ofthese repairs that are going to pop up and most of the time you get hit withthem after the warranty period of the car or expensive so you can’t even makethe repair on the car end it and you’re still making a payment on something thatyou can’t dry so I’ve seen that in a number of instances even back when Ithrow cars in the ancient days yeah the other issue another not the other issuebut another issue is that and and I know we all we all only work kind of orconcerned about getting in the car driving it right now but well you’ve gota car that you’re upside down in and you go and trade that in and you roll overwhat you owe in to the next into the next loan you know that’s that’s a loteasier to do when when your interest rate is two-and-a-half or three percentor three and a half percent they ain’t going to go on foreverthe karna to the car that you buy today and roll over what you own your old carinto that thing you know five six years from now you may be in maybe up to fourand a half five five and a half percent interest because interest rates aren’tgoing to stay this low forever right we’ve gotten kind of used to thembecause they’ve been this way now for for going on 10 years but it ain’t goingto be that way forever why to give you an update on Takata airbag inflaters inthe United States there’s sixty five percent of the forty six point twomillion recalled Takata airbag inflaters that’s in the US alone have not beenfixed that’s a lot of cars I hear with with that with potentially bad airbagthat we know can easily cause they can deploy automatically and cause someserious accident we’re talking about insurance Russ and I in the green roomtalking about possibly getting an insurance person or expert on the showto talk about insurances and it’s interesting the insurance companiesespecially Triple A have raised the rates on Tesla and they’re doing thatbecause their average claim is higher than other models in the same productline and I’m sure it has a lot to do with all the technology that tack into aTesla it’s going to get to the point with all the technology and cars and wetalked about what was the car earlier to me a car had now gotten to be a computerthat happens to be on wheels and can carry you’re rightso it’s going to get to the point when you have an accidentit’s going to be cheaper to talk for their insurance company just to totalthe car because minding your parrot is going to be more expensive great rough Iwas just going to say the the now Tesla is arguing that point with with tripleA’s insurance arm but I think I want to I want to say it’s called Triple A theauto group or something is what that insurance is actually called but Tesla’sis of course objecting to that objecting to the Triple A findings but it is whatit is and it’s just to me it’s just another aspect of Tesla’s that peopleare not being realistic about and that are somehow keeping this this I don’tcall it a Ponzi scheme exactly but keeping this thing rolling and and theu. s. pumping money into it and people buying the shares for whatever it is nowfor 100 bucks a share whatever they’ve got that run-up to and the company hasnever made a nickel never made a nickel profit doesn’t look like they will inanywhere in the near future and and now you know they’re taking this insurancehit from at least one insurance company and I think some other insurancecompanies are probably going to take a closer look we’ll see it’s gettinginteresting with autonomous and now I guess mobility theme filled with the twomost popular terms you hear about when you’re talking about automobile andinsuring them or repairing them those companies now have to take intoconsideration you’re looking at a different animal it’s not like just likethe old traditional cars big you know traditional cars remember when theLincoln Continental used to be the hottest thing out there with all the newfabrics with a special Signature Edition and all that goodso well Rob reports is as rated the 2017 Lincoln Continental as the best of thebest and luxury sedan I don’t believe everything heyand for those of you don’t know what the rock report is you have to be into whatincome level of five hundred thousand dollars a better somewhere around therefor even a subscription to the Rob rewards reset something somewhere onthis yeah yeah now I will agree to the point that I was thoroughly impressed bythe Continental the week that I the week that I spent in one and I mean it isit’s by far the best Lincoln I’ve been in in ten years maybe even longer thanthat is it the best of the best luxury cars on the road boy oh boy I I mighttake issue with that so so III can’t say from personal experience but you knowjust this justice shit like now when you get the hands-on you see it it’s the newone is very impressive and Toyota had again been ranked as the world’s whatmost valuable car bringing the world worth what twenty eight point sevenbillion the big be well they’re running they’re running on all all cylinders Imean are you others do something else Ijust want to mention Chris this your muted I know you tried to jump in netarrow dirty alright here we gothey I uh I’m actually currently editing my review of the Continental now and youknow I have to say it did impress me way more than I was expecting to beimpressed I will I will put that out there you know I was expecting a towncar and and and it’s not a town car it honestly is a nice vehicle and you knowI save all the details for for later on which I post my my review but um as ayounger person looking at you know these luxury cars coming out here today I meanagain it’s questionable what the rob report is reporting but but for my ownpersonal experience I was pleasantly surprised with the new LincolnContinental okay that’s that’s the classic case of when you have lowexpectations you know and for the bar that no yes something kind of badgesabove those expectations it multiplies again and goes even higher yeah I just Ihad them doing one car looks great you know and and and well they you know howshould I say for head egg because this nor ligand is for basically how shouldyou say this is not fresh creative is you know basically it’s a Jaguar let’slisten you know in terms of its look you know they got the grille and so on andso forth from J and and and and they’ve done anice job with it but yeah as I say and you know the American driving public isgullible know somebody says it’s the best it’s the best car out theresomebody’s gonna believe it and it makes you wonder yeah good thingsecond would be out of a job yeah right youknow for those of us go ahead is the statement just doesn’t make sense it maybe a good car but that stable just doesn’t make senseall right the this one make sense every year the southern automotive mediaAssociation has what they call the what is the topless in Miami event and thisyear the winner was the 2017 Fiat 124 spider a barge I get that is that a truestatement I like the car that impressed me that I wasn’t expected to beimpressed by but that that was based on small convertibles I mean let me throwthat in there so it’s not like top-of-the-line convertibles with smallcomfort well it’s really who do you who do you have in that category you’ve gotMiata both way which is you know which 124 is based off of and what I take thevolte mount invertible well yeah you know it might have been in there too butI would still put put the 124 over top the the VW okay oh yeah yeah but youknow that’s me but anyway yeah I was going to say they have is a lot of thesecompetitive things go they have maybe five or six categories and and theprogram is so short that let me let me make sure I’m accurate here because I’vedone that program a couple of times that you are assigned you the group is splitin half and half drives certain cars and boats on them and the other half drivesother cars and boats on them so it’s kind of a kind of a crazy you know I’msure it’s all scored fine but yeah it’s kind of a differentdifferent than most of these things that were used to but they do have severalcategories I’m sure of which that was just was just one because they’ve gotsome they’ve got some pretty nice convertibles Mercedes and silver and soon that show up at work that look like I said this was small car convertiblesince we’re going to talk about a ward let’s just keep it rolling as you knowAuto Pacifica came out with it so they call it new vehicle satisfaction Awardsand they have a long list of cars but the overall winner was the 2017 Genesisg9e it was their top vehicle you guys think that would be the top vehiclehaven’t driven it I’ve driven it it’s a really nice car but you know I don’tlike cars of that size anyway I don’t care what it would be Genesis or savingsaudio eight I just don’t like anything that big but it’s you know better shoutdriven it it’s a very very nice car it really is and that award is based on ona satisfaction I don’t think it’s been out long enough for them to get trueowner satisfaction for the g90 I would think you’d have to have a car that’sbeen out there three four or five years maybe to get true customer satisfactionwell if that didn’t when you’re getting your final years of your payment youknow I think what you get in now I have driven the the lesser version of thatcar which is the 60 I think maybe in which I was very impressed with but youknow that’s a kanessa I don’t I can’t remember whether whetherthat particular rating is is like figure skating where you’re you know it’spoints for style and kind of thing or whether it’sthe stuff that power does that’s problems per 100 feet they have a wholethey have a whole list of criteria that you have to check off but I could see Icould see if it was customer satisfaction from the point of view ofthe amount of car you get in the features and the comfort and all of thatI could see that if that’s a that’s a tough that’s a great value story and itwould be a tough one to to compete against but if you’re right if it’ssomething that has to do with with with problems and issues and those sorts ofthings a little longer might be better in terms of judging that right wellEdmunds list of the 10 best family cars for 2017 and along with Parents magazinegave the best minivan award to the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica now that one I wouldwholeheartedly agree with me too right yeah you know oh let’s start it out fora minute but anyway oh there is ah yeah then down here rut I would think oh didyou hear it yeah here I just my turn my video offers aa girl I rearranged myselfout here in the Sun porch in Albuquerque New Mexico where it’s about 99 degreesthank you very much I can see where your baking there you put in the sauce on youyetI thank God I haven’t taken a shower yet today I would have to agree that thePacific earned that and deserves that 100% I have not I have yet to drive theredesigned Honda Odyssey and perhaps that has taken another leap forward Idon’t know but in terms of everything that was available to drive a month agoI’m I believe that 100% its Pacifica well if you have one of theseentertainment system then you have a subscriptionto participate in ethics or or pay-tv type program and let’s say you are inthat Pacifica or well not the Pacifica but Honda the Odyssey you’re talkingabout you can now stream listen to this 2000movies including James Bond and Star Trek for the 2018 Odyssey so there isthe entertain2000 movie that’s that’s part of you get that you get that when you buy it or youhave to belong to Netflix or something where you have to belong to either epicor one of the pay TV provider programs yeah well Netflix may be one of the payTV provider I’m not sure well can’t you do that anyway and you must not be ableto do that because I don’t think epic I think epic must have the largestdatabase of movies because they talk about 2000 and I think you can’t you canalways if you’ve got if you’ve got a a Bluetooth hookup and and and a Wi-Fihookup you’ve always been able to stream movies haven’t you oh my god I don’tknow I’ve never used a rear-seat entertainment system so yeah you’vealways been able to stream movies but like I said with this partnership Ithink they have the largest selection of movies through one program which withthe epic that’s what they’re trying to I guess position it and but like you saidif you have Wi-Fi in the car and you can you can have access to the Internet youcan stream and in this number number of movies as long as you maintain theconnection size there’s been a promotion how long which one of you have driven aBentley later lately come out later but not so my Krakow from Nissan and he’s ina new person and just created just for him this guymust be tough he’s not a VP of Sales and Operations for Bentley and they madethat position just for him so in the past does that mean Bentley didn’t havea sales and operation person they just relied on word of mouth can be soldthemselves but you know why they only sold six cars a monthI don’t know so now we know that cars don’t sell them they’re not evenBentley’s not even badly so they need to sell six more so they added this VP ofSales and Operations to get to that next level well if anybody from Bentley islistening I’d be very happy to help them they can send one to my doorstep and Iwill gladly drive it all week and give a wonderful review we can give great sexreviews video review combination thereof this contract look I can tell you howyou can look at one and that’s to fly down to South FloridaRusty’s warehouse you know there’s a warehouse full of them they’re aboutthree that driving one is a different ballgame I have to go along with thisnext one here GM GM fees has this ad campaign called like a stroke andthey’re taking regular customers who’ve you know stepped up their game so tospeak to reach some of the highest standards in their profession and I likethe way that they’re doing this because they’re taking individuals of differentethnic groups talking about what they have done to get to the level thatthey’re currently at and GMC is playing upon that thing that they build some ofthe most demanding vehicles and they’re built to a higher standard so have youguys seen that any of those commercials I think they have about 40 of them thatare running Trinette that the commercial with uhSouth Korea and uh got the twos player known I don’t I don’t think that you canI don’t I don’t think they using celebrities oh my godI think they use the regular customers that have step their game up so to speakto our retail like I said a higher level in their profession or what they’redoing gonna be interesting to see here the I forget the guys name but the guyfrom guy from the company that rates commercials Brian and sometimes yeahBrian’s it sometimes appears on the show because basically what one of the thingsthat sticks in my mind is that the commercials that do the best in theirparticular survey are those that basically show attributes of the vehiclenot somebody talking about attributes the actual attributes of the vehicle interms of no stopping automatically swerving out of the way this sort ofthing that if I was interested to see just you know how well these do becauseyou know it’s your thing uh first of all they say its customers how do you knowyou know David Frank Fitness gym yeah there was a Dima gypsy they all we’vegot these customers are gonna tell you all these great things about the carreally you know come on yeah come on yeah so it’d be different it’d be morerealistic you have a customers say I think this is a piece of junk they’regonna put that custom customized that defeats the purpose so it’s like that’swhere we’ve drawn I brought to see how that person does you know in terms ofsurvey with what the public’s reaction is to itthat’s all I’m saying okay I need I need to get back with Brian to see but wehaven’t had him on in quite a while now to see what kind of commercials aredoing in the marketplace Frank you mentioned something interesting talkingabout the car stopping as a fan the feature and Nissan in 2018 is goingto offer as a standard feature the automatic emergency braking system whichi think is a great system and if i’m not mistakenNissa is trying to get all of the manufactures to go to a automaticbraking system I think they did something like that with review camerasif I’m not mistaken what an automatic braking system is a good thing and it’salso a scary thing especially if you’ve never experienced it before and whatthat takes into consideration is using the radar in the front of the car todetermine your distance between the car that’s in front of you and it reallytakes into consideration your speed and the closing distance between you and thecar in front of you so if the system indicates that you’re not starting tobreak fast enough it will automatically start braking and if it was and it’llhave chimes and all kinds of bells and whistles to get your attention includinga vigil on the dash to get you to react meaning to start braking if you don’tstart braking it’ll start braking for you and in some cases the cars willactually come to a full to a full stop or complete stop now I think that’s oneof the better systems even I think that’s even better than the rear viewcameras comment I would agree with that and I just just did a story on that forAuto Trader and in that I called Nissan up andtalked to him a little bit about the system and and it is one of thosesystems that will depending on your speed will bring the vehicle to acomplete stop if you just don’t react at all that other speeds it won’t so it’sone of those things that that you’re not guaranteed that the thing will stop youcompletely if you’re not alert to it but it’s you know good for Nissan it willinvolve about a million two thousand eighteen cars it doesn’t includeanything with a manual transmission that doesn’t include anything with mismo thathas the knees mo tag on it but pretty much everything else it’s going to takecare of and I you know kudos to them I think it’s a great idea yeah I think ontop of that you say you you would like to see the government do it if thegovernment doesn’t do it competition will you know because ratherNissan’s done it because this is not a driving impression but one of the thingsthat caught my ear about the 2018 toyota camry is that your automatic stop i interms of this cross traffic alert that system will stop the car if you don’t goanywhere because this is driving that’s not right the embargo frame right that’snot a that’s not a new tech they’re like like infinity they I believe they wereone of the first ones to I guess I have that rear cross-traffic and the brakingevolved at the same time with that when the JX first came out now the qx60free it but um so you know that’s it that’s a good technology I definitelyagree that the the emergency braking the rear cross-traffic alert that stuff isit can be very invaluable when it worked you know when it happens like it’s oneof the things you don’t think about it until it beeps at you and you’re like ohwow I didn’t realize you know that car was coming back there so III think thatyou know between the two of those that’s a those are nice moves Nissan is is onthe right path with that emergency braking well I would like to talk aboutcar companies that are doing something good in the community in fcc a for thethird annual time they have what they call the big bike and book giveaway atthe program in Detroit where they have partnered witha couple of school systems and they look at student that that have improved inattendance behavior and course performance and he’s the elementary andmiddle school student and they they select a hundred and fifty of them inthe hundred and fifty gets new bikes whoa that was a walk in here trying tosting me got it did you see that on camera oh my god I was crazyyou see that reaction moment I thought that was you you’re on it there’s nochance with you eh I thought it was a bat it might look that big but that wasa big one but anyway they’re giving away new bicycle helmets and children’s bookand it’s the event is held annually at the Immanuel Lutheran Church and that’sone hundred and fifty students though I really applaud FDA for doing that andlike I said it’s in Detroit two more quick thing before we end the show hondais introducing the first ever in the United States the Civic type-r I haven’teven clean it starts at thirty-three thousand nine hundred dollars is the 306horsepower at 295 pound-feet of torque as a two liter turbocharged engine andit claims to be the world’s fastest production front-wheel drive car come toAmerica what in the world really yes 22 miles per gallon city 28 highway25 comes combined and you’ve heard it here first it goes on sale today thiswas something that they put out yesterdayoh not you tell me we aren’t up to date on what’s happening in the news also asa first in the United States Toyota is launching the first ever CH R whichstands for coupe hi Ryder whatever that means but like they justcame up with some terms to match the CDA it means small crossover vehicles yeahright and it’s a subcompact SUV crossover now wait a minuteI thought I thought compact subcompact we’re categoriesI thought SUV was the category and I thought a crossover would the categorynow you mean to tell me this car is in these all the qualifications with acategory that’s what you say it’s just it styled like a space shuttle so it’sgot that going for it I don’t understand what these car companies are trying todo to sell more cars I guess is based on keep the customer completely confused asto what what we’re trying to get them to buy well you know what you laugh withthat it worked at the dealership for many years I mean am I am I mistakenabout these categories in there an SUV category a crossover category a compactcategory and that is one car is in all the categories and the car doesn’tchange it’s the same car well the target in all these category young men allsides and then you have the type of vehicle which is the crossover SUV andlike I said it’s a small crossover vehicle crossovers crossovers are sowildly popular right now that car makers will turn themselves into pretzels calla vehicle a crossover yeah but what is the crossover I mean I’m sorry it’s acar based SUV mm-hmm it’s so this car every car big SUV yeah they’re very fewpure SUVs left and those are direct based you know where you’ve gotbody-on-frame you like are the crossovers are like cars andit’s this hi bro that’s one it doesn’t fit hi it’s just higherhigher then compact sedan does yeah it’s higher than the car was based on welldoes it fit higher than the new Jaguar luxury right wagon the XF Sportbrakethat’s coming to the u. s. seventy one thousand four and forty five dollarsthat include destination now this one has a panoramic view that operates byhand gesture so if I want to say Luke Luke are now now how would you go howwould you go again Roosevelt yeah now all right it’s operated by it has a 380horsepower v6 8-speed automatic transformation 0 to 60 and 5. 3 secondstop speed is electronically tap at 121 miles per hour and I’m sure they’retalking about speed in all this because this is a wagon and you know how in thepast wagon did not sell very well so that’s definitely 21 mile an hour cap isa weird number yeah that’s just you know I I thought you were gonna say 155 is inbest you know the typical of European standard but 121 is a strange one okaylast one BMW introduced in the sixth series Gran Turismo it’s a five-door 70thousand six hundred ninety five dollars including destination 3. 0 litre sixcylinder 335 horsepower at 332 pounds feet of torque and it gets zero to 60 infive point one second so you can get a wagon that is close to the speed ofsix Series Gran Turismo BMW and on that I want to thank all of you for takingthe time to join us an Auto Network
